so, I got diarrhea. told by parents to stay at home and not to go to school today. but I've got something to do anyway; writing a speech about.. yes, our lovely environment. how awesome is that. I bet this topic is the most used topic in the history of speech-making, considering everybody knows about it but never truly cares about our earth. thus we always bring up this topic to the top; make a speech competition about it, or even arrange a campaign, but at the end we humans always stay the same--either our concern last as long as people's facebook status, or we're even too lazy to care.
so, desperately trying to make a speech that does NOT sound like thousands or millions other environmental speeches, I... was stuck. I was stuck with the idea that I must use a formal language, while I feel like adding 'fuck' and 'hell' to every single word because... I always want to put a stress on my words. later I figured out something that might work: writing my speech on my blog, where I need not to censor all my improper words, then revise it later for my teacher. at least here I could share all my ideas without worrying that it might be just too vulgar for a formal speech. so, enjoy my uncensored speech.
IF YOU CAN NOT STOP IT, DON'T TAKE PART IN IT.

We live in the world as we know it. Us, the humankind, living on a beautiful, luxuriant planet called earth. And this planet—our home, the place where we belong—has suffered some serious damages up until now. Yes, I’m talking about Global Warming.
As you know, our earth is on its way to destruction as I’m saying this. Then, shouldn’t we be busy now, saving our planet? Theoretically, yes, we should be. But I dare to say, that’s not what we are doing. We are the main cause of this global crisis that has not been solved for decades. We, humans, are the ones who put our mother nature in sufferings. Simply put, instead of trying to save it, we are damaging our own home and making its condition even worse than before. That is what we did, are doing, and will always do. If we fucking ruined our planet, then why the hell would we save it? Isn’t it contradictory to each other?
But for me, the answer is simple. Because we need to. We could pretend to be blind to the fact that what we did in the past--like burning all of those trees, killing those animals, and such--have put our planet into a horrible condition.. We could deny the truth and lie to ourselves. But we couldn't deceive ourselves as if nothing's gonna happen in the future! Open your eyes. Have you ever feel afraid of watching those deadly-global warming-effects videos? I have, and it took me time to realize that I was not scared because those videos showed me ugly things--I was afraid because I know, little or big, I have participated in making our world ugly.
Well, this is what I used to say to myself, "I might contribute to Global Warming by taking cars for going somewhere near, or by not turning off the lights when they're not necessary, or by wasting some waters, but it isn't comparable to the whole damage that the earth suffers. Some other party must've done something bigger and worse than I did, like those illegal loggers." We all know deep inside, that it isn't fucking true. Yes, we're not the most responsible party, but it didn't change the fact that we participated in it. We made it worse. Don't you wanna do something better?
The more ignorant we become, the deadline also become nearer. It may not happen in our generation, but the earth may reach its worst state later, in our children's lifetime. So I guess it's better if we start doing things that might fix what we've messed up with. It is kind of irrational to think that even doing the most effortless things, like using handkerchief instead of tissues, could help fix things up. It seems too small, too minor to solve a big problem like Global Warming. Thus we sometimes become insecure whether what we do could really help the earth or not. Well, let me be the person who say this to you: yes, it could. Maybe I'm not an approved climatologist, neither I have a PhD title or such. I'm sorry I can only suggest you standard things like saving the electricity and the water for our mother earth. But I'm not sorry for being a person who stands up and defends her home. I'm not sorry for having a dream where all the human races unite together and save our living place, like million others have dreamt. And we could make that dream comes true. So, do you think you wanna be the part of the human race dream? If you do, let’s stop making excuses now, think that you could do something real for our earth. Alone I could dream of something, but together we could make that dream comes true. We must together protect what is precious to us—our home. Thank you.
There it is :D what do you think? does it sound convincing? or do you think it is as trashy as other speeches? if you have a spare 5 minutes to spend, would you pleeeeeasssseeee let me know what you think of this speech by simply put a comment below or write in the chitchat box right there? --------------------->
